The treatment of alcohol and drug problems varies from person to person. Many programs present with a preferred approach and Dr. Orlandini is open to various models.

Typically the objective in addressing any addictive behavior is to identify the original cause of the issue. Sometimes addictive behavior is related to poor coping strategies and can be due to childhood issues, family problems, difficulty coping with daily stress, a general sense of dissatisfaction related life and many others. Once the original source is addressed and improved through therapy, it is typically better for the prognosis in the treatment of addiction.

Dr. Orlandini works with medical professionals in the Miami and Miami Beach communities to help with the psychological components of detox while they manage the medical elements through the use of medications (suboxone, antibuse, diazepam, valium and many others.)
